THURS. DOORS!

What a year it has been. A year to celebrate,
for we are healthy and we have food on the table!
And much more than food. We have new friends,
I am painting again in front of the audience
during the worship part of the
Sunday service, in a church that did
not know painting is also an expression
of worship. So I am jazzed.
Makro-Tex December
TALKING ABOUT JAZZED…

Oil, 24 x 36 inch, Worship Angel © St Germain
I saw this angel one time perched near the ceiling
with all these expressions of worship in the roomy green sleeves
of the robe, like dance, painting brushes, next to the instruments.
It was a joy to paint her.
Sunday’s Best

At a moment looking down on one of our hikes in Zion Nat. Park, Utah. surprised the blue of this water came out so strong.

My lipstick plant
Wordless Wednesday

On the country side it was a times challenging to find a reflection,
so here the car windows to the rescue:)

On the other hand I collected many sky captures,
from sunrise on (I hope this is a sunrise, lol).

That lipstick plant is so interesting. I hit my Christmas stride this morning and got all the decorations up, including a creche my s-i-l gave us years ago that comes from the former East Germany. I love Christmas!

I hear ya! Especially at the end of this year with so many explosions, we need God’s goodness for the soul! I have the tree, which is a big improvement from last year. Now I have to get in the mood to trim this smaller, but beautiful specimen.

How exciting that your painting for people again. I can feel your excitement!
You did photograph some beautiful skies, sunsets, and clouds when you lived in the country foothills. 😍

I can imagine all worshipers gathering around your painting and the priest smirking :))

Shiju, I hope it was a good smirk:) Only it would not be a priest, but a minister/pastor, for I am not Catholic, but protestant. But I appreciate your imagination:)

also, forgot to mention that I think the painting during the service sounds amazing – I have never seen that before – but you are right – it can be such an artistic form of worship.

The painting during worship is more seen in Vineyard type and evangelical churches, although in the last two I started painting, they had never seen it:) Yes, thanks so much for the link!
