TO ALL A HAPPY 2022 -starting with no resolutions!
Whereas a new year for me was before just taken as a change
of date, a new year with a new strain of virus, luckily less strong,
makes one spend more thoughts in how to approach this year.
These two below definitely took the jump

Occasionally I do commissions. Here the request
of the bridegroom “to paint
something for their wedding on a the beach.”
For me it meant a research project
about their characteristics, their hopes
and dreams to start forming a picture in my mind
what their marriage would/could look like.
He loves horses, she celebrates life no matter
circumstances. Also they like the unusual,
and are adventurous.

Since I did not link this birdie last week, it appears again,
begging me to get on the ball!

Something new to do at Christmas- have not done any puzzle in years!
This one is a 1000 pieces. Used a wrapped canvas as backing
to get it on and off the table
One Word sun: the box is open, Makro-Tex: new

Uhhhhhh ….. jump?
Now our son after a Christmas with his parents,
hopped on the plane to visit California,
Switzerland, and Germany, before returning to work,
I realize how his thought processes resemble mine:
a daredevil mixed with moments of precaution.
(the gap is larger and higher than the image shows)
By the way at 4.30 am. the airport looked liked the 4th of July!!
Everywhere extremely long lines, and crowds
of people going back home.
Sun. Best, Weekend Reflection

Don’t know how these two colors appeared in the sky –
maybe how I held the camera, or the glare of the water
right behind this scene in San Diego.

Am happy you could travel to family for Christmas!! Keep still getting the weather announcements from Pioneer, and it sounds like winter, and cold! But then, I am sorely getting to miss the snow!

Definitely Winter has arrived to your old hometown. It was pretty driving through there last week.

They’re quite adventurous, riding a horse without a bridle. 🙂 As for the puzzle, I just saw the same one at Half Price Books a couple days ago and contemplated buying it. I may have to go back and get it. Great way to occupy time and get a brain workout. 🙂

Janet, that would be a good price. It was easier than I thought, even though it’s a 1000 pieces. Wished we had a Half Price Books here – got the puzzle at Barnes and Nobles. About the bridle – I didn’t even think about that, haha:):) Only rode a horse once myself, and it made me so seasick, that I thought that it was not worth pursuing…but at least I could say I rode a horse, lol.

That is such a beautiful painting, Jesh.
I used to love doing jigsaw puzzles but these days, I can’t sit still long enough to attempt one!
Happy 2022!

Love the painting. To me looks like happiness and freedom of joy. Horse riding always says that to me. Congratulations to the couple. Happy New Year. Yes, praying this is the year that the virus either just dies out or becomes the new norm of a less violent flu. So many over the last couple weeks that I know have contracted it, but seems not as bad. However, my daughter is a nurse who works with the covid patients, and it still is not very pretty, and is very serious for some. Sad when patients die who were more afraid of the vaccine than the actual virus who probably would have a milder case.

Thank you Peabbea – this wedding project was a fun one:)
How they treat the virus is such a jumbled mess with pros and cons. Hard to tell when they’re telling the truth or when they lie! Have heard of too many deaths after taking the vaccine. I believe what happened to the Israelites when they lived in Egypt. The Egyptians got 9 plagues and the Israelites were not effected at all. Also, Psalm 91 says “they who live in the shadow of the most high …the pestilence will not come near you. Also the famous passage in Isaiah says by your stripes we ARE healed. I have had enough vaccines when they were required to come live here in the USA, etc. etc. so I am not against it, But I wait with this one until they have no deaths following it.

Just putting a foot in for now. We flew from Washington State to Tucson Arizona on January 2. Fortunately both airports are small and it was the last flight of the day so they weren’t crowded. We are traveling by RV again, a way to isolate without being cooped up inside. Take care and stay safe in this new year. – Margy

Happy New Year! Awesome painting for the bride and groom. I am not real good at puzzles. I can do the frame but after that it is a challenge. One piece at a time I can finish. Never did I even try to do a 1,000 piece puzzle. Our son, Norm, can do 1,000 piece puzzles though. Our grandchildren don’t even want to get small puzzles for gifts. I love purchasing puzzles for presents for Norm. It brings him joy and I can see it in his eyes when he opens the gift. I heard tell that the eyes are the mirror to our souls. Be safe.

Great for Norm! I can totally understand. The bigger puzzles are addicting:):) It means Norm is good in analyzing and organizing. Also, you may have heard that they recommend puzzles for cancer patients, because they have something to focus on, and are engaged in an activity …. Happy New Year to you and yours:)
