DON’T FORGET: Scroll DOWN to the bottom of this post for THURSDAY DOORS!

Boo (Grandson) surprised me a few Christmases ago
by giving me this 24 x 30 inch painting
as my Christmas gift (if I recall,
he was 10 at the time). I know that it had much
to do with spending the summer before.
He had announced to his parents he wanted a week
with us to make things (carpentry with my hubby)
and painting with me. His parents and we were all surprised,
but we said “Sure.”
When he came back home, he whispered to his mom,
“I ate all the food.” Another surprise, because I didn’t know
he had trouble with that

Yay, it’s Spring. Our neighbor’s tree is now in bloom
Der Natur Donnerstag, Thankful Thurs.

Even Trader Joe (grocery store) is celebrating Spring

Weeken Reflection

This dog kept hesitating to into the store, so I thought he was lost,
I asked the dog, ‘”Are you lost?” He looked at me, as if to agree.
Also in the store was another dog, asleep on an ottoman.
After spending some time in the store, I saw one of the people
who was working there, talking to the dog, as if she was the owner.
Later I gathered both dogs were hers. Was very surprised,
because on this side of the ocean people avoid to have pets
in stores and restaurants.

Noticed that this sky had two colors blue:)

I’m glad the dog wasn’t lost. We are getting more welcoming to dogs over here now, with many restaurants and shops allowing them inside.
And thanks for the peeks at Spring 🙂
Have a great Sunday

Thank you Debbie. In Holland they were always allowed everywhere. Were dogs not allowed in shops and restaurant in the UK because of covid, or was that already customary beforehand? Have an joyful week:)

Thanks Colleen , isn’t it? This is the Trader Joe in Folsom (Sacramento). The one here in Texas has a big parking lot in front, and no space for any flowers (except for inside the store). Have a great rest of the week!

I really like the last pic. Would love to bicycle there. 🙂

Thanks, and beware! this is the lowest of the hills (it’s beautiful though – taking these hills with a bike take a lot of strength) – since having lived there, I have become forever addicted to hill country and forests!

The most I was impressed about is that he had taken his 9 x 12 inch paintings to another level. A 24 x 30 inch is a big space to fill for a 10 year old!I saw out of the corner of my eye how proud his mom (my daughter) was – maybe it was her idea, haha. The longer I looked at this sky, the more I liked it. Thanks for your visit, Keith:)

Spring is definitely here! I love the reflection picture with the window and bricks. Also the road – it reminds me of my long road trip two weekends ago along Highway 49 here in California.

Hope highway 49 was not too trafficy:)

Your artist genes reached down a couple levels to Boo. Great work!! I love your two color sky. I haven’t been overseas that much but their attitude about dogs in stores and restaurants seems a lot more relaxed than what we have.
Enjoy your upcoming weekend!!

Thank you Allan. Now the relaxed attitude does not go as far as to when renting a house or apartment. There are still places who refuse pets.

I’m seeing more and more dogs in stores, restaurants and motels. Kind of fun to take your dog on vacation!

Yeah, that would be much more fun for the dog than putting them in a kennel when the family goes on vacation:)

Funny you bring up Trader Joe, because they stopped having tortellini on the shelves two weeks ago, so I was looking on my Ipad for other stores that might have it. I found the same Trader Joe ones, sold by Amazon (2-pack for $22!!!) while TJ sold them for about 2.75 per package. Had no idea A. practiced price-gauging! I’ll just to learn to do it without tortellini:)

Disgusting. I was purchasing a canned meat for 1.99 at various supermarkets and I see the same canned meats for $50.00. We are in trouble.

Hello,
I love Boo’s art work. The Golden Retriever is a beautiful dog. It is true that dogs unless they are service dogs are not allowed in stores and restaurants. The flowers are lovely. Love the pretty sky shot. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and new week ahead. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
